BLS Provider CPR

Basic Life Support (BLS) is available in two different training methods – Blended Learning and Instructor-Led Training. All BLS course options teach the same AHA science-based skills.

The AHA’s Basic Life Support (BLS) course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

The intended audience for this course includes:

  • Medical personnel, such as physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, nurse assistants, dentists, physical therapists, pharmacists, and students entering the field.

  • Public safety personnel and other professional responders, such as paramedics, advanced emergency medical technicians (AEMTs), emergency medical technicians (EMTs), firefighters, law enforcement, emergency medical responders (EMRs), and students entering the field.

Instructor-Led BLS

Instructor-led, hands-on classroom format reinforces skills proficiency and team engagement.  The BLS Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.

Full BLS Provider Course takes approximately 4.5 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing.  BLS Renewal Course takes approximately 3 hours to complete, including skills practice and testing. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a BLS Provider Course Completion card, valid for two years.

Active Violence Emergency Response Training

Most active shooter incidents happen without warning and are over in 10 to 15 minutes or before help, such as law enforcement, typically gets to the scene. While healthcare professionals are uniquely qualified to provide the emergency medical response for injuries, active shooter situational awareness and response can help save lives by avoiding injuries altogether. With AVERT, healthcare professionals learn the essential lifesaving tactics that can help save themselves and others during moments of immense trauma.

If you want to ensure a safe work environment for your business and your team, it’s important to include preparation for active shooter situations. Our specialized AVERT 2-hour workshop will give your team the knowledge and tools needed to respond when the unimaginable ever happens. With the help of AVERT format, your team will understand warning signs of potential violence and learn how to develop situational awareness; how to assist others with traumatic bleeding injuries;  and when there are no other options but to fight....  what does that "fight" look like and what can your team do to save their lives and/or disarm the assailant.

Find out more about our active shooter response training and how it can help prepare your team for active violence events.

AED Acquisition & Inspections

If a person drops of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), an AED can be used until emergency medical services arrive.  With SCA, time is a crucial factor.  For every minute without getting defibrillation or high-quality CPR, the chances for survival decrease 7 to 10%.  We'll assist with acquiring a unit that fits your environment best.
